           I’m a mom and grandmother with a big heart for my community and I’m also a REALTOR® who believes real estate doesn’t have to feel stiff to be taken seriously.

           You may have noticed I’ve recently used caricatures in some of my branding and content. I’ve even seen comments suggesting that using something playful means someone isn’t professional. I understand that perspective but I also believe there’s room in this industry for authenticity and personality.

  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Caricatures are showing up everywhere lately. They’re a fun, creative way for people and businesses to express who they are. But for me, it’s more than a trend, it’s intentional. Because even when it’s lighthearted, real estate is deeply human.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Buying or selling a home is a major life decision. It’s emotional. Personal. Exciting and overwhelming all at once. My caricature style allows me to acknowledge that reality while softening an industry that can sometimes feel overly formal or intimidating.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           Through playful, exaggerated moments, the excitement of a perfect layout, the side-eye at a rushed flip, the joy of move-in day, people can see themselves in the journey. It creates clarity without pressure and education without boredom.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

           And let me be clear: using caricature doesn’t mean I take my role lightly. It’s actually the opposite. It allows me to communicate honestly and memorably, in a way people connect with. When people smile, they relax. When they relate, they listen. And when they understand, they make confident decisions

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

           Real estate is full of scripts and buzzwords. I choose storytelling, approachability, and a little self-awareness. At the end of the day, everything I do comes back to trust, integrity, and connection. If a creative, human approach helps someone feel more comfortable asking questions, learning the process, and moving forward with confidence, then it’s doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

           Not long ago, I met with a seller who was ready to put their home on the market. They had lived there for years, raised their family, and poured love into every corner. To them, the house was priceless. But when it came time to talk numbers, they wanted to start high “just to see what happens. It can always be lowered.”

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;

      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            I completely understood. Every home carries a story, and it’s natural to want to get top dollar. But here’s the reality of today’s market:

    &lt;strong&gt;&#xD;
      
           buyers are chasing value.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/strong&gt;&#xD;

    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           With interest rates higher and budgets tighter, buyers are looking at every home through a very different lens. They’re asking: What am I getting for my money?

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           In this seller’s case, we took a walk through the home together. Instead of focusing on big renovations, we made a short list of simple updates fresh paint in the entry, swapping out dated light fixtures, and a deep clean to make everything sparkle. Then, we priced the home strategically, right in line with where the market was moving.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The result? The house stood out immediately. Buyers saw a home that was clean, cared for, and fairly priced. Within days, they had multiple showings and a solid offer.

           For years now every July/August, I find myself standing in the school supply aisle. At one time this was for my kids now its for my grandkids. While, I’m excited for them picking out the fresh notebooks, sharpened pencils, and crisp backpacks feel like a clean slate, full of possibilities. On the other hand, my heart tugs knowing another summer has slipped away, and with it, a little more of their childhood.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            Back-to-school always feels like such a mix of emotions.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I loved watching my kids grow into these amazing humans. Now I get to do it all over with my beautiful grandchildren. I've watched their confidence bloom as they took new grades, new teachers, new challenges. But there’s also that quiet part of me that misses the days of late night movies, cuddles in bed, and mornings with no alarms.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           The night before the first day is always the same in our house: nervous energy, outfits laid out neatly, backpacks packed with care. And then comes the morning drop-off… that bittersweet moment when you let go of their hand, or they jump out of the car and watch them step into another chapter of life. It’s pride and ache rolled into one.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           If you’re another parent feeling this tug-of-war, just know you’re not alone. It’s okay to celebrate the structure and routine that comes with school starting, while also grieving the slower, freer days of summer and years past. Parenting is always both joy and nostalgia, along with excitement and longing.
